The TickerThe Ponte Vedra Beach final will be a battle of similar surnames after Caroline Wozniacki and Aleksandra Wozniak both came through tight semifinal encounters to set up a title clash. It's the second Wozniacki vs. Wozniack meeting at the WTA level, with 18-year-old Wozniacki of Denmark winning their match at Wimbledon last year 6-1, 6-1.

"We get confused a lot!" 21-year-old Canadian Wozniak told the WTA last year. "Sometimes I get faxes or letters delivered to my room, and sometimes people call her thinking they're calling me.

"But anyway, we're good friends. We grew up playing each other in the juniors. I was actually 3-0 against her in the juniors, but the first time we played since then - at Wimbledon this year - she won. Grass isn't my surface, and she's really good on grass."


The TickerMartina Hingis will appear on British TV show "Beat the Star" next week. The program, which airs on the ITV network, pits celebrity athletes against amatuers in various physical competitions.

The TickerRoger Federer and long-time girlfriend Mirka Vavrinec were married on Saturday. "Earlier today, in my hometown of Basel, surrounded by a small group of close friends and family, Mirka and I got married," Federer told his official website. "It was a beautiful spring day and an incredibly joyous occasion."

The TickerMonte Carlo draw here. Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray have been drawn together in the top half, with Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in the bottom half.

First-round action is hightlighted by a meeting between former No. 1s Marat Safin and Lleyton Hewitt.
